Was 5 years old when grandfather taught him to play
Does not like to know who is grouped or paired with during a tournament. "I looked up to a lot of these guys I am now playing with, so I don't want to go to sleep thinking about it. And so that's been my routine."
Has two career PGA Tour wins: 2003 BellSouth Classic and 2005 U.S. Bank Championship
Won 1998 Pacific Coast Amateur
Originally attended Baylor (did not play golf) before transferring to Oregon, where he was a three-time All-Pacific-10 Conference selection
Qualified at sectional in Columbus, Ohio
Tied for ninth at 2004 PGA Championship
In 2007 was limited to nine events due to back problems, which have plagued him on and off throughout his career
Played 2008 PGA Tour season on a Major Medical Exemption and finished No. 64 on money list to retain card.
